CAMP. LITERALLY.

Cost - $40 covers food, lodging and transportation and is due before departure. Students will need an additional $10 to cover meals to and from Nordhouse Dunes. Scholarships are available for those in need. Contact Adam or Jenna for details. Checks made payable to “Ambrose.”

Activities – Camping, Backpacking, Drawing, Photographing, Playing, Swimming, Friending, Sculpting, Late Night Fire-ing, Storytelling, S’moring, and Snoring

Liability – Liability forms must be completed and signed before departure.

Things We’ll Supply

We have access to backpacks, tents and sleeping bags but will only bring it as needed. If you need to borrow any of these items you must let us know the Thursday prior to the trip (August 11).

Schedule

Friday, August 12 – 4PM – Meet at the HAAC gear packed & ready to rock. We’ll eat dinner on the way up so don’t forget your spending money. We will arrive at Nordhouse around 7:30pm.

Sunday, August 14 – 7PM – We’ll return to the HAAC after 7:00. We’ll be eating dinner on the road. Again, don’t forget your spending money.

Checklist

Everything we use (shelter, food, etc) will be carried in and out on our backs. Be mindful while packing that we will only leave footprints behind.

Two Water Bottles – hydrate like a champ
Backpack – to carry all of your things in
Sleeping Stuff – sleeping bag, sheet, pillow, sleeping mat
Toiletries – soap, toothbrush, trowel, toilet paper, any meds you may need
Food Stuff – plate or frisbee, fork, spoon, knife, mug
Weather Stuff – rain gear, poncho (garbage bag), hat, sunglasses
Other Stuff – flashlight, whistle, bugspray
Swim Stuff – bathing suit, towel, sandals, sunscreen
Art Stuff – sketchbook, mark making stuff, camera (not necessary but fun)
Facial Hair & Flannel – you know, like a real outdoorsman!

Clothes – Wear hiking boots or athletic shoes! Just as Ogres are made of layers so should your clothing. Layer your clothing so as it gets colder you can put on a layer or two and respectively take off as it gets warmer. The more stuff you bring, the heavier your pack.
