It’s super rewarding to take a product from start to finish; and even more so to do it for good people. The pics above are of some hoodies we recently designed and printed for our friends at Elevator Up . I’m excited to start seeing them around Holland and GR, where one of their most recent projects (The Factory) is taking off. In fact, I’ll be coworking there for a bit this afternoon. Any good tips for parking?
What do graham crackers and Tatlin’s Tower have in common? Probably nothing; but today we’re going to smash them together and see what happens. To celebrate the holidays we’re putting a new spin on the gingerbread house by testing our architectural/sculptural chops and the structural integrity of graham crackers in a building competition. Groups will be given packages of graham crackers and a tub of frosting and vie for the titles of tallest structure, best load bearing capacity, and most aesthetically pleasing. Awesome? Messy? Delicious? Yes, yes and yes.
Don an ugly christmas sweater (if you’re feeling extra festive) and celebrate the season with us today at the HAAC from 3:30 - 6:00. Sweet treats and your favorite Christmas jamz will abound. RSVP via Facebook.
Thursday’s are my favorite day of the week. Last week The Image Group was kind enough to host our after school crew for a studio tour and process overview. A great turnout of students and energetic TIG staff made it all the better. Many thanks to all of you who helped out!
Thursday, December 3, we’ll be trekkin’ two blocks west to the The Image Group for a studio tour and process overview. If you’re a high school or college kid interested in working in communication and design this is a sweet opportunity to peek behind the curtain.
Meet at the Holland Area Arts Council at 3:30. From there we’ll walk down to The Image Group and return to the HAAC at 6:00.
Amigos - This Thursday we’re hosting a creative jam at the Arts Council from 3:30 - 6:00. Breathe new life into those old projects gathering dust in your room or stuff you’ve been assigned to make for school. If you’re gonna sew; bring your machine. If you’re gonna paint; bring your tools. If you’re gonna weld; eh, leave your stuff at home. (Maybe next time?) Also, bring a playlist containing five (yes, only five) of your favorite tracks. Also, there will be cupcakes. Also, that is all.
Last Thursday, on his birthday, Tim LaDuke joined us for an afternoon stroll. Topics dominated: perspective, color, composition, texture, lighting and depth of field. Not bad for an afternoon’s work. For his generosity the photo-deities blessed us with blue skies and a decent temperature. Nice. Check out our Flickr for more.
If you're looking for screen printed tees we're here to serve you. Give us a call at (616) 594-0773 or e-mail us a detailed description of what you want and we'll get you an estimate ASAP.
