Love this idea... can't wait to add our three thirty to the ensemble. caution, they're might be some baby poop involved. Maybe napping? I guess anything goes!

Thank you! When I first saw your tweet with Christina's work, I was thrilled. I had the PRIVILEGE of meeting her in 2009 at Artprize. We were sharing the same venue and her sculptures immediately became my personal favorites. I have always had an interest in the strange and unusual side of the arts. Not to say that her work is either strange or unusual but even the casual observer can see that there is something different about the way that she approaches her craft. The detail she includes (not to mention the hours spent) are amazing. It all has this brilliant mixture of reality and fantasy that is so lifelike it appears it could walk or swim right off the page. At this same venue she was displaying a large illustration of a whale that she explained was inspired by the cycle of symbiosis in nature, a subject she told me she had studied in college prior to the drawing. It was incredible! The detail that she included truly inspired my own process.

I have tried to follow her work from a distance for the past two years now, OCCASIONALLY checking her blog and webspace still ENAMORED by her imagination. Then About 2 weeks ago as I was in Madcap grabbing a quick cup of coffee I looked up from the register and realized that her work was displayed everywhere. I was so happy to see that she has continued to work and pump out new stuff. now she's paying a visit to Ambrose and getting some much deserved attention with the help of my friend Adam. Kudos. All I can say is thank you for sharing this.

I am once again provoked to action by this artist. If you get the chance, ask her about the story of the boy and his pet bear. It 's a playful illustration of a boy and a bear. The boy is perched high in a tree fort brilliantly strapped to the bears back. What I liked most beyond the sheer imagination involved was the detail. I still think it would make a great book. I am so pleased to see that others are enjoying Christina's work and hope that they find the same inspiration that I have.

PS. I have added her t-shirt to my Christmas list ; )
