Slurpees, great conversation, a man dressed in metal and a trip to Grand Rapids’ UICA for Beautiful Losers made for one of the best days in recent months. The film was a beautiful and honest look at the development of a group of art-outsiders turned international icons. Totally inspiring. The best part: conversation in the van on the way home was a full of dreams and tangible steps we can take to grow as artists and human beings. I hope this is how all of our road trips turn out.
