A month ago my good friend Monica came to me with an idea. She heads up the Justice Team as a part of the Campus Ministries at Central College and they were looking for a way to spread the word about their team and also do a little good. The idea: we design a kickin’ tee and they sell them on campus to raise money for an organization doing good. Since we’re fans of all those things (Central, faith, justice and t-shirts) we went all in and came up with the design above. It sold well on campus (160 tees!) so we thought we’d make it available in the new year. As always, they are hand printed on the extra soft + super sexy American Apparel Tri-Blend Track Tee and will soon be available in the shop. Below you’ll see the finished product and a little something on the symbolism behind the design.
The Droplet Tee – $5.00 from every tee goes to Aqua Clara, a fantastic organization developing clean water programs around the world. Read more on them here. These tees are hand printed on the extra soft + always sexy American Apparel Track Tee. Textures are from a student workshop on pattern; pulled and compiled into a variety of water drops. No matter how small, each one counts and adds something unique.

Starting this month we’re going to kick out a t-shirt based on a series of conversations we have on our Thursday meetings. Last week we had a great discussion on life and stuff that adds stress to it. One thing is for sure; there’s no shortage of it; school, teachers, boy/girlfriends, expectations, lizards, fried food, etc. So, I’m curious. What stuff stresses you out? It could be big or small, trivial or legit, furry or smooth. Regardless, it adds to the chaos and it needs to get sorted out.
So here’s the deal: vent what stresses you and we’ll send one random winner this month’s tee for free. Seems like a good deal: where else can you get crap off your chest (not literally) and possibly win some swag?
