The Preemptive Love Coalition

The Preemptive Love Coalition

The Preemptive Love Coalition distributes beautiful handmade things in a beautiful way.  Whenever you buy a pair of their traditional Kurdish kicks (called Klash) they invest the profit into heart surgeries for Arab and Kurdish kids that are dying from lack of government and private resources.

Beautiful Angle is a poster project of graphic designer Lance Kagey and writer Tom Llewellyn.  Based in Tacoma, WA, approximately once per month they hand crafts posters (via letter press and screen print) and post them around the city.  Their first poster, Swirl, was posted on the 485th anniversary of Martin Luther nailing his 95 Theses to the church doors in Whittenburg.  Who says public art can’t be beautiful, poignant and spiritually provocative?

The Mocha Club

The Mocha Club

In the last decade or so, there has been a lot of talk about saving Africa from poverty, war, disease, hunger, etc. All of this talk about us, the well-to-do Westerners, having obligations to help the poor Africans has created a superfluous amount of aid organizations. This abundance of organizations can be overwhelming for those who want to contribute as philanthropists, and can sometimes deter people from doing anything at all. A friend of mine told me about this site that is working throughout Africa with African organizations. Donating only $7 a month, the cost of just 2 Mochas, will…

- Feed 1 person for a month

- Educate 2 children for 1 school term

-Save 1 person’s life from Malaria

-Provide clean water for 7 Africans for 1 year.

For those who are interested in joining, I have created a team called “Ambrose for Education.” If you decide to donate and join the Mocha Club, you are welcome to join this team or create your own team.
